Be A Kid Again: Healing Isn’t Always Heavy.

I

Reading Time: 2 minutes

There was a time we believed healing had to be hard. We associated growth with tears, silence, and deep, uncomfortable work. We thought the heavier it felt, the more “real” it must be.

But what if that’s only one part of the journey?

What if healing could feel… lighter?

Somewhere along the way, we forgot the part of us that just wanted to laugh, to play, to feel seen for being exactly who we were.

The part of us that once made magic out of nothing. That danced barefoot. That trusted joy.

Our inner child never left — she simply waited. Not for us to fix her, but to notice her.

One day, in the middle of trying to “get it all right,” we heard her whisper: “Can we just play today?”

That whisper changed everything.

It reminded us that healing doesn’t always have to be serious. Sometimes, it’s choosing softness. Sometimes, it’s speaking kindly to ourselves. Sometimes, it’s letting the giggle come back.

That’s why we created the 7 Affirmations — A gentle set of words we wish we’d heard sooner. Words that speak to the forgotten parts. Words that feel like warmth, not weight.

This isn’t about becoming more spiritual or more perfect. It’s about feeling safe, seen, and whole — right now. The affirmations are short, soothing, and designed to be played when we need to come back to ourselves.

We made them to hold us on the days we feel cracked open — and to celebrate us on the days we finally let joy in.

💫 On Be A Kid Again Day, let’s remember:

We are still allowed to play.

We are still allowed to rest.

We are still allowed to speak to ourselves like we matter.

Maybe this is our reminder. That healing can sound like laughter. That softness is also strength.

And that the version of us who needed love the most… still listens for our voice.
